Patch Morphology Dynamic Assay (PAD)

The PAD package is developed for the detection and characterization of intracellular structures ('patches'). The assay works with (confocal) images of cells or tissue recorded in up to 5 different channels. The structures are detected in the reference channel and characterized in all channels by a large set of features including size, form, intensity, localisation, area, etc. Co-localisation between different channels is also measured and reported. A region-of interest can be defined to limit the analysis to a specific (smaller) area.
The 'dynamic' aspect of the assay comprises the automated tracking of patches across multiple time points. A separate and extensive set of features is calculated to characterize the movement of the individual patches (e.g. velocity, direction angle, patch trace length, etc.).
- Excellent background correction assures outstanding object
- detection and characterization.
- Distinctly different output is provided for 3 hierarchically organized levels: patch, region-of-interest and image.
- Includes a powerful viewer for quick reviewing of analyzed data (including time-lapse visualization).
