Grain Detection Assay (GRA)

Grain Detection Assay (GRA)

The Grain Detection Assay enables rapid and accurate detection of granules lying in the neighbourhood of cells. The highly sensitive algorithm even detects dim granules that can barely be seen by the naked eye. 'Areas of influence' are outlined around the cells so granules can be assigned to the nearest 'mother cell'.

Both granule and cell detection is excellent, especially when taking into consideration the speed at which images are being analyzed. The number of granules per cell is visualized in histogram plots thus giving the researcher a quick idea of the granular content per cell. Additional output parameters further characterize grains and cells.

  • Algorithm settings can simply be adjusted to assure correct analysis on a wide range of cell types and complete detection of granules.
  • Built-in illumination correction ensures consistent output.
  • Histogram plots and heat map views allow for quick reviewing of the analyzed data.
