Neurite Outgrowth (NEO)

The Neurite Outgrowth Assay (NEO) is a fully automated and validated software package for quantifying neurite outgrowth of neuronal cell cultures (cell lines and primary cells). The neuronal network is quantified by a variety of features to characterize different aspects of the neurite culture. Features include neurite length, number of neurites/cell, number of positive cells, branching, … These cover assay aspects such as toxicity, network formation and neurite outgrowth. Flexibility is guaranteed as the software is able to analyse one-channel and/or multi-channel combinations of bright field and fluorescence images.
The image importer tool allows using images from divers scanning stations. But you can also send your samples to our service lab, where we can record and analyse them.
