Nerve Regeneration (NRE)

Nerve Regeneration (NRE)

The Nerve Regeneration Assay (NRE) is an automated software package for nerve regeneration quantification of cross-sectional nerve sections.

The software works scanner- independent by means of an image importer tool that imports raw-data images into the NRE software package. After a region-of-interest is drawn, the algorithm first delineates the outline of the nerve. Next, the myelinated fibers are detected. A comprehensive feature set then characterises the morphology of the entire nerve and the morphology of each individual nerve fibre.

  • Includes a powerful visualisation module for quick reviewing
  • of analysed data
  • Validated on a large data set including controls, time-lapse and calculation of IC50-values
  • Algorithm settings can simply be adjusted to assure correct analysis of a wide range of cell types
  • A variety of background correction algorithms is provided to ensure seamlessly merged mosaics when required
