Welcome to the DCILabs web site

Digital Cell Imaging Labs (DCI Labs) develops software for High Content Screening (HCS, often also referred to as HCA: High Content Analysis). Our focus is to develop software for cellular assays which are based on leading edge digital image processing techniques. We provide two major services:

• The development or automation of novel cell based assays for implementation at the customers’ site
• A service lab providing in-house screening facilities

Assay development or automation on a consultancy base is completely tailored to the needs of the customers. DCILabs can develop a new assay from scratch or can provide expertise for automation of certain elements in existing assays (e.g. optimisation of sample preparation and image recording methods, software development for information extraction and implementation of software on automated (microscope-based) screening platforms).

Applications currently available at our screening facilities are e.g. quantification of angiogenesis, micronucleus test, colony forming assay, quantification of neurite outgrowth and quantification of nerve regeneration. New tests can always be developed on demand. Screenings can be performed on small batches of samples for academic groups or on larger batches for the pharmaceutical industry.
